LAKIN DAIRY
Purchased in 2016, Lakin Dairy milks 3,900 cows two times a day in a double 37-parallel parlor. Cows are housed in either drylot pens or freestall barns. The dairy also milks fresh heifers for Silverstreak and United in another parlor until they are sent back to their farms at three weeks fresh.
Lakin Dairy focuses on transition cow performance and maximizing efficiencies.

LAKIN FEEDYARD
Purchased in 2016, Lakin Feedyard has undergone multiple expansions to get to its current capacity. The Feedyard raises 18,000 head of replacement heifers and beef-dairy crosses. We grow replacement heifers from one day old to varying ages for clients. We also purchase beef-cross calves in addtion to raising our own and grow them to market at either feeder stage or as fat cattle.
Lakin Feedyard focuses on economically growing healthy cattle.
