Dairy Production Internships
About / Apply / Contact

About

PACE Ag Group is looking for interns who desire to grow their experiences in dairy production and herdsmanship.

Interns will gain commercial dairy operation experience through completing the day-to-day tasks of animal treatments, fresh cow and maternity, breeding and preg checks, milking and cattle flow, and calf health. Additionally, by working with management issues such as employee relations and learning the fiscal responsibility of management decisions. With this, our goal for interns is to help them understand the daily operations as well as the daily challenges of dairy farming, and the importance of adapting to changes.

Moreover, PACE will utilize our dairy consultants to provide on-farm learning with our nutritionist, veterinarians, and repro specialist. Interns will have opportunities to work with them in order to gain dairy knowledge in their respective fields.

Our interns will work 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., 6 days per week, as our other employees do. Housing options may be available, along with competitive pay. We provide weekly follow-up meetings with managers (depending on which site and who) to provide support and insight on what you learned and how it impacts our operations.

Internship time period: 10 weeks +
